Belgium born designer Diane von Furstenberg describes her mission as empowering women. She designs, quote: "clothes that will make you look better and feel better and be more confident". Her latest collection is inspired by nature. Diana says she takes pictures while hiking and often uses the images to make prints for her collection. We see that independent flower child, earthy vibe through all the pieces.

Solid black dress, rope like neck strap, runs across the top, subtle waves run across the material horizontally. Designer has some fun with the accessories, neon stripe bangles and gold strap platforms.

Sheer black dress worn over a nude slip, this one starts with several neck straps, they criss cross at the bust, the material is pleated and gathered in places to great flowing design lines, forms into a bulb hem. Diane was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2005.
